JV boys split games
The JV team claimed a 55-50 win over Washington on Friday night before dropping a narrow game against Burlington, 52-49, on Monday.

The JV team claimed a 55-50 win over Washington on Friday night before dropping a narrow game against Burlington, 52-49, on Monday.
Against rival Washington, the Panthers took an early lead.

Dustin Amos had 23 points and and nine rebounds against the Demons. Aaron Kelly added 11 points, while Trey Magnani and Carson Remick had seven and six respectively. Nike Phillips came off the bench to sink a critical 3-pointer.
Zach Mulford, Zach Schmitz and Kelly each had seven rebounds. Tyler Pace added five steals. Mulford and Pace each had three assists.
Against Burlington, the Panthers had a chance to tie the game at the end, but couldn?t get a good shot off.
?We played with a lot of heart and effort and competed the whole night,? Rodgers said. ?Nike Phillips was all over the floor.?
Mulford had 14 points, including four 3-pointers. Amos added 12 points and Remick had 10.
Amos grabbed seven boards while Mulford and Remick had six apiece. Magnani added four assists and three steals before leaving the game with a knee injury.
The team is now 14-5 with one game left against Ottumwa on Thursday night. The JV team will play after the freshmen.
