JV boys win pair of games
The Fairfield JV boys? basketball team shared the wealth and dished out 20 assists Saturday to come away with a 60-57 win over Pella.
Joe Hietpas had 10 of those assists to go along with nine points, and Kyle Weirup tallied four assists as well as three steals. Landon Gamrath and Vince Horras were the beneficiaries of a handful of assists with 19 and 18 points, respectively. Matt Carr added seven points.

Good passes meant good looks, and the Trojans had one of their better shooting nights. The JV team hit 47 percent of shots from the field and 80 percent of free throw shots.
The JV squad will be looking for yet another win as it continues its homestand today against Chariton.
Trojans top conference foe
The JV boys grabbed their first of two wins in a 24-hour span with a 50-37 victory over Keokuk on Friday.
Vince Horras led the Trojans with 15 points and Landon Gamrath scored 10. Joe Hietpas added nine points and three assists, Matt Carr had six points and five assists and Jordan Whitney scored five points.
