JV boys win season finale
OTTUMWA ? Jordan Reid scored a team-high 11 points, including six of his team?s final seven points, to lead the Fairfield JV boys to a 44-41 win over Ottumwa in the regular season finale last Tuesday.
Alex Simpson totaled seven points and 14 boards and Keagan Drish had eight points and two assists for Fairfield. Jordan Whitney scored five points, and Tanner Deao finished with three points and five boards.

OTTUMWA ? Jordan Reid scored a team-high 11 points, including six of his team?s final seven points, to lead the Fairfield JV boys to a 44-41 win over Ottumwa in the regular season finale last Tuesday.
Alex Simpson totaled seven points and 14 boards and Keagan Drish had eight points and two assists for Fairfield. Jordan Whitney scored five points, and Tanner Deao finished with three points and five boards.
Both Keith Burns and Alex Crile netted three points each.
The Trojans led 37-34 with 2:30 to go, and Reid hit a layup to increase his team?s lead to five. Ottumwa scored a basket on the other end, but again Reid answered with a 3-point play. The Bulldogs cut the lead back to three on a 3-pointer, then Reid scored his sixth point in a little over a minute on a free throw.
The Bulldogs cut Fairfield?s advantage to 43-41 with 20 seconds remaining, but Crile closed out the game going 1-for-2 from the foul line.
