JV girls win in Ft. Madison

FT. MADISON -- The Mt. Pleasant junior varsity girls' basketball team moved to 4-4 on Friday night after upending Ft. Madison on the road. The Panthers beat the Bloodhounds 35-28 as part of a full Mt. Pleasant sweep.
The JV Panthers were led by Emma Rugg, who went for nine points and nine rebounds. Karsyn Lamm scored seven points, and Kenna Lamm had five. Avery Sutter led the team on the boards, with 10 rebounds.
The JV girls will be back at home for their next game, on Friday, Jan. 4. That game will be another Southeast Conference game, against Washington.
