JV Panthers fall to Pella

The Mt. Pleasant junior varsity girls' basketball team took on a talented Pella team on Tuesday night in their first game of the season. The Panthers fell 53-15.
The Lady Dutch led 16-2 after the first quarter and 35-10. Kenna Lamm scored four points in the first half, which led the team at the break.
Pella stretched their lead to 48-10 with a 13-0 third quarter. The Panthers split the fourth quarter with the Lady Dutch, 5-5.
Lamm, Avery Sutter and Jenna Gilmore each scored four points in the loss. Ryann Davidson scored two points, and Savana Walls finished with one.
Avery Lowery, Sutter and Jaden Brumbaugh led the Panthers on the boards. They each finished the game with four rebounds.
The junior varsity girls will be back at home on Monday, Nov. 26. They'll take on Ottumwa at 6:15 p.m., with the varsity game following.
