The 2020 All-Southeast Conference volleyball teams were released last week, and Mt. Pleasant senior Karsyn Lamm split the highest honor with Burlington's Madison Bunton. Lamm, a senior, was named co-Player of the Year with Bunton, another senior, being recognized as one of the best two players in the conference.
Lamm had a fantastic season in 2020, finishing the year with 207 kills, a team-high. She had 16 blocks, which was second on the team, and took second on the squad in digs, with 254. She also had 22 aces, third best on the team.
Karsyn wasn't the only Lamm on the first-team. Little sister Kenna Lamm, a junior, joined her, the only other Panther on the top list.
Ke. Lamm was right behind her older sister, tallying 162 kills on the year, which was second on the team. She also had 16 blocks, and finished one dig behind Karsyn with 253.
Lamm was one of the top servers on the squad. She had 28 aces on the year, second best on the team.
The Panther duo was joined by Fairfield senior Anna Dunlap on the first team. Dunlap led the Trojans by almost 50 kills, finishing the year with a total of 162, and also eclipsed over 100 digs, finishing the year with 134, which was third best on the team.
Dunlap finished the season with eight blocks, three assists and one ace.
There were also two players from the Union coverage area on the second team, both defensive specialist. Fairfield sophomore Kiya Robertson and Mt. Pleasant junior Ralyn Seberg.
All three of the Union area teams had two players listed to the honorable mention list. Fairfield freshman Maddie Jones and junior Danielle Breen were named to the honorable mention list, as were Mt. Pleasant seniors Elli Liechty and Maddie Moore, Washington freshman Keira Messinger and Washington senior Olivia Marek.
