Two more area football players were named 'Players with Heart” by Beck's, a company that has been bringing attention to area football players who show their heart on the football field and in the Agriculture industry. Fairfield junior Nick Kaska and Winfield-Mt. Union junior Seth Schurr were both honored.
Kaska says that ag has been a way of life for his family for generations, and that it taught him hard work. He finished his junior year with 19 tackles and one fumble recovery.
Kaska plans on attending college but says he will continue to farm in the future. He is involved in FFA and Family Farm.
Schurr says ag is important because it feeds the world. He is a part of NHS, Student Council and FFA. Schurr is a volunteer firefighter and is involved with Family Farm.
Schurr finished the year with 26 tackles and two fumble recoveries for W-MU. He plans on pursuing a degree in agribusiness.
