Keller claims Central Lee title
For the sixth time this season, Columbus senior Josh Keller claimed an individual cross-country meet title.

For the sixth time this season, Columbus senior Josh Keller claimed an individual cross-country meet title.
Keller led for most of the race over Winfield-Mt. Union?s Gavin Bencze, and claimed the varsity boys? title in a time of 17:40.
Keller was joined in the medaling by senior Adrian Santos, who took seventh-place overall with a 19:20 for the Wildcats as the Columbus boys took second place at the meet, behind Winfield.
Santos was followed by Diego Sanchez, who took 16th with a 20:28, while J.D. Lekwa (17th, 20:35) and Armando Quiroz (18th, 20:39) rounded out the scoring for the Wildcats.
Mark Estrada (32nd, 21:44) and Tucker Morrison (44th, 22:24) were the other varsity finishers for the boys? team which scored 59 points, seven behind Winfield.
On the girls? side, senior Ashley Canny ran a 24:40, which put her at seventh-place overall for the meet, while senior Grace Chapman finished in 10th place at the meet with a 25:02, each earning medals.
Jenessa Carpenter took 15th place at the meet, running a 26:04, while Andrea Rodriguez finished in 20th with a 26:35. The Columbus girls did not have enough for a complete team score.

Columbus? next meet will be the state qualifying meet next Thursday (Oct. 22), which will take place at Cedarcrest Country Club.
