Keota boys? basketball team wins at BGM, Brooklyn
The Keota boys? basketball team played their last game of the calendar year at Brooklyn Tuesday, Dec. 20, and won over their hosts 75-67.
Keota was only down one point at the end of the first quarter 12-13, but rallied back in the second quarter putting up 16 points to BGM?s 12 to have a 28-25 lead at the half.

The Keota boys? basketball team played their last game of the calendar year at Brooklyn Tuesday, Dec. 20, and won over their hosts 75-67.
Keota was only down one point at the end of the first quarter 12-13, but rallied back in the second quarter putting up 16 points to BGM?s 12 to have a 28-25 lead at the half.
BGM would score 22 points after the break, but Keota would add 21 of their own to keep the lead within two. BGM scored 20 points in the fourth quarter but it wasn?t enough as the Eagles added 26 points ensuring the victory.
Hunter Wilson led the team in scoring having 21 points on the night which included three from the 3-point range. He also had three rebounds, four assists, two steals and three blocks. JD Stout scored 14 points in the game, had four rebounds and one assist, one steal and one block.
Avery Conrad had a double-double in the game scoring 12 points and having 10 rebounds. He also had two blocks.
Jacob Wickenkamp scored 10 points, had five rebounds, led the team in assists with eight and also had two steals.
Cole Stout scored nine points, had one rebound, two assists and one block.
Luke Greiner had four points along with five rebounds, one assist and two steals. Jace Uphold had four points, four rebounds, one steal and three blocks.
Scoring once from the free-throw line was Cole Brenneman who also had one rebound in the game.
The boys have a 6-2 record as they enter the holiday break. Their next game is Tuesday, Jan. 3, when they face North Mahaska at home.
