Keota boys basketball team wins over Montezuma on home court Tuesday
The Keota boys basketball team was victorious over Montezuma Tuesday, Jan. 10, by just two points, 53-51.
Keota would score twice as many points as Montezuma in the first quarter going up 16-8. Keota would score, 11 points in the second quarter while Montezuma would score 19 to tie the game at the half.
Montezuma scored 11 points after the break to Keota?s six to take a five-point lead.

The Keota boys basketball team was victorious over Montezuma Tuesday, Jan. 10, by just two points, 53-51.

In the final frame, Keota scored 20 points, which was just enough to secure the victory as Montezuma only scored 13.
Avery Conrad led the team in scoring with 15 points. He had a double-double for the night with 12 rebounds as well as having one steal and one block. Cole Stout scored 12 points and had one rebound and five steals.
Hunter Wilson scored nine points, had two rebounds and two assists. Jacob Wickenkamp had eight points along with six rebounds, nine assists and one steal.
Luke Greiner scored three points and had two rebounds and three assists. JD Stout scored two points and had two assists and one steal.
Jack Eakins had two points and had three rebounds. Jace Uphold also scored two points and had four rebounds and one steal.
The win gives the boys a 10-2 record and next play tonight against Lynnville-Sully starting at 6 p.m. in a make up game from Dec. 16.
