Keota falls to rival Sigourney
Keota suffered a 17-2 loss to South Iowa Cedar League rival Sigourney on Wednesday night.
Sigourney scored five runs in the top of the first and just continued to roll from there, adding one run in the second inning, six in the third and five in the fourth.

Keota suffered a 17-2 loss to South Iowa Cedar League rival Sigourney on Wednesday night.
Sigourney scored five runs in the top of the first and just continued to roll from there, adding one run in the second inning, six in the third and five in the fourth.
Junior Luke Lyle went 2-for-2 and drove in a run for the Eagles (0-8, 0-8 SICL), and sophomore Nate Owen was 1-for-1 with an RBI. Freshman Nate Sieren went 2-for-2 and scored a run, and senior Brian Berg was 1-for-2 and scored a run. Junior Matt Slaughter also had a hit for Keota.
Berg took the loss, giving up 12 runs, 10 of which were earned, in 2 1/3 innings. He struck out three batters and walked four. Freshman Zach Mousel threw 1 2/3 innings of relief, allowing five runs on five hits. He struck out two batters and walked three.
