Keota remains unbeaten

The Keota High School baseball team has yet to lose in four games this season.
After a season-opening 6-0 win over South Iowa Cedar League rival Belle Plaine, the Eagles downed English Valleys 9-3.
Wednesday was a 21-2 romp at Tri-County then a home win Friday, 4-3 over Iowa Valley.
Tyler Waterhouse took the Tri-County win with one hit allowed in four innings with two walks and six strikeouts. Colyon Clarahan led the way at the plate with four hits in four at bats and batted in four runs.
Against Iowa Valley, the visitors scored three runs in the last inning to tie the game, but the Eagles found a way with a run in the bottom of the seventh for the win.
Clarahan gave up four hits and two runs with a walk and nine strikeouts before Austin Waterhouse got the last out. Waterhouse gave up two hits and a run.
Carson Sprouse had a two-run double while Clarahan and Brady Duwa each had two hits.
The Eagles host Montezuma today.
