It was all Eagles all night in the South Iowa Cedar League opener in Keota.
Jessalyn Aller went for 16 points int he win. Cameron Haifley scored 14, and Kennedy Jackson had 12.
Lone Tree 56, Columbus 48
The Wildcats held a 28-22 halftime lead over visiting Columbus, but a disaster third quarter led to the Wildcats’ demise.
Isabel Rendon scoerd 12 points for Coumbus in the loss. Kennedy Woepking finsihed with 10 points and nine rebounds.
Louisa-Muscatine 58, Winfield-Mt. Union 45
Winfield-Mt. Union won three of the four quarters against L&M, but that didnt make up for a 26-4 Falcon first quarter.
Highland 57, Hillcrest Academy 24
Highland played stellar defense, holding Hillcrest Academy to nine first half points in a SEISC North rivalry win.
Kamryn Fink put up 19 points, 14 rebounds and six steals to lead Highland to victory. Katelyn Thomann finished with 13 points.
Pekin 42, Wapello 36
The Peking irls moved to 2-0 in the conference after gritting out a six-point road win at Wapello.
West Burlington 61, New London 16
The Tigers failed to get on the winner’s board in the SEISC South opener, falling at home to Highway 34 rival West Burlington.
Paige Shull-Collins had a nice game despite the loss, scoring 12 points.
Van Buren County 44, Notre Dame 29
The Warrior girls stifled the Nikes in the first half, rushing out to a 26-12 halftime lead and never looking back.
