Keota wins golf triangular
The Eagles edge Sigourney and Colfax-Mingo in three team tournament

SIGOURNEY — The Keota boys golf team was a winner on Monday afternoon in a triangular against Sigourney and Colfax-Mingo.
The Eagles were able to edge the neighboring Savages by just seven strokes, as they finished with a final score of 176. Sigourney totaled 183 when all was said and done.
Colfax-Mingo finished with a score of 234.
Leading the Eagles in the meet was junior Cole Kindred. Kindred shot a clean 43 on the day, but didn’t earn medalist honors.
Sigourney’s Clay Morse took the top spot with meet low of 39.
Kindred’s teammates, Sawyer Stout and Caden Sprouse finished one shot behind with scores of 44.
Other scores from the Eagles were Billie Kindred with a 45, Carsin Kindred with a 48 and Aiden Anderson carded a 50.
For Sigourney, along with Morse top score, Solon Yates shot a 46. Issac Bruns and Josh Wyatt both finished with 49s and Ty Kruger tallied a 50 to round out the Savages.
After the Eagles meet on Thursday, they will be back on the course on Tuesday, April 11 in a head-to-head against HLV.
