The Keota girls basketball team put together a historic 2025-26 season. It set a new program record with 18 wins, and its 11-5 mark in the South Iowa Cedar League was just one game behind a three-way log jam for second place in the conference standings.
Those marks were achieved by a talented Eagles squad, including four of players who earned All-Conference honors. Keota had one first and second team selection and a pair of players on the All-SICL Honorable Mention list.
Sophomore Cameron Haifley earned a spot on the All-Conference First Team after leading the Eagles and ranking second in the SICL in scoring at 17.4 points per game. Haifley also averaged 3.3 rebounds and had team-high averages of 2.2 assists, three seals and 1.3 blocks.
Emily Conger landed the All-SICL Second Team after a strong junior campaign. Conger averaged 9.1 points, three rebounds, 1.7 assists and 2.7 steals.
Freshman Jessalyn Aller and senior Kennedy Jackson earned All-Conference Honorable Mention honors. Jackson averaged 5.5 points, 4.4 rebounds, 1.1 assists and 1.2 steals in her final campaign for the Eagles.
Aller’s play showcased Keota’s promising future. The freshman was third on the team in scoring at 7.3 points per game and co-led the Eagles with 6.8 rebounds per game.
