JD Stout's 40-point offering helped Keota win a boys basketball game Saturday.
Keota 84, Iowa Valley 53
The Eagles held an 18-12 lead after one quarter and were up 36-25 at halftime. A 27-15 third quarter advantage helped win the South Iowa Cedar League game and gave Keota a record of 11-6 overall, 10-3 in the conference.
Stout was 15 of 22 from the field which included 6 of 13 on 3-pointers. Austin Waterhouse added 11 points and three assists. Brady Duwa produced nine rebounds, seven points, three assists, three steals and two blocks.
Keota plays at Belle Plaine Tuesday.
Iowa City Regina 65, Mid-Prairie 57
The home team won the River Valley Conference game.
Mid-Prairie's record is 8-7 overall, 7-7 RVC. The Golden Hawks host Washington tonight.
Holy Trinity 62, WACO 28
The home team won the Southeast Iowa Super Conference game with a 41-14 halftime lead.
WACO is 3-9 in the South, 6-12 overall.
Keota 49, Iowa Valley 39
The home team won the SICL girls game by outscoring Iowa Valley 12-0 in the second quarter Saturday.
Keota (7-12, 5-7 SICL) plays at Belle Plaine Tuesday.
Iowa City Regina 39, Mid-Prairie 26
The vistors lost the RVC game as Maddie Nonnenmann was the only Golden Hawk to reach double digits. She had 10 points, nine rebounds, three steals and two blocks.
Mid-Prairie fell to 10-7 overall, 9-7 RVC and hosts Washington tonight.
