WAYLAND — WACO senior Ellah Kissell added to the Union’s growing list of 1,000-point scores from the Class of 2023 on Dec. 10, when the Warriors knocked off Keota in non-conference play.
WACO won 55-21 at Keota, thanks in part to a 21-point night from Kissell, who has now flew further past the milestone as the Warriors continue to pile up wins.
The WACO girls currently sit at 8-2, a pace that puts them in good position to reach 15 wins for the first time since the 2014-15 season. The Warriors are 6-1 in conference play, just one game behind Winfield-Mount Union.
Kissell, who has reached heights of over 40 points in her high school career, has scored 218 points already this year, averaging 21.8 points per game. That number ties her for third in all of Class 1A.
The Warriors will travel to Pekin for another North Division clash on Friday night.
