Kreuter signs with Mount Mercy
Fairfield senior will be a Mustang next school year
FAIRFIELD — Fairfield senior Aidan Kreuter signed his letter of intent to attend and play baseball at Mount Mercy University last Wednesday, Feb. 7, in the Fairfield High School gym lobby.
Kreuter is coming off a nice junior season for the Trojans. The outfielder hit .224 on the year with 19 hits and 17 RBIs, a Top-5 mark on the team. He also drew 24 walks, second most among Fairfield batters.
Kreuter appeared in 10 games for the Trojans on the mound. He finished the year 2-2 with a 4.82 ERA and 16 strikeouts.
After his senior baseball season, Kreuter will join a Mount Mercy squad that went 28-22 last season, including a 19-13 mark in Heart of America Athletic Conference play.
The Mustangs have just kicked off their 2024 campaign, starting the year 1-3.
