Lady Wolves fall at Louisa-Muscatine

LETTS - The Winfield-Mt. Union girls held an early lead in their SEISC North Division game at Louisa-Muscatine on Thursday night, but the Falcons came roaring back in the last three quarters and knocked off the Wolves 57-31.
W-MU led L&M 9-7 after the first quarter, but the Falcons scored 19 points in the second quarter to take a 26-14 lead into halftime.
L&M stretched the lead by one point, to 36-23, after three quarters. The Falcons poured it on with a 21-9 fourth quarter and the Wolves walked out with a 25-point loss.
Liana Sweezer led the Wolves with 10 points and nine rebounds in the loss. Kyndal Townsley had eight points and three steals. Jenna Buffington finished with six points, 10 rebounds and three steals. Jobey Malone had six points, and Emma Haines had two.
W-MU is now 4-14 on the season. They'll host Highland tonight (Friday) in another North Division game, and then take on Lone Tree on Saturday, Feb. 2.
