Lady Wolves fall to 3A No. 13 West Burlington

WEST BURLINGTON - The Winfield-Mt. Union Lady Wolves had a rough time trying to contain the 13th-ranked team in Class 3A on Tuesday night. The Wolves traveled to West Burlington in a SEISC crossover game that ended in a 68-25 Falcon win.
West Burlington made shot after shot in the first quarter to build a 25-point lead in the first quarter. The Falcons led 29-4 after one, 43-15 at halftime and 64-23 after three periods. The two teams combined for just six points in the last eight minutes.
Melina Oepping and Jobey Malone scored vive points apiece to co-lead the Wolves. Keetyn Townsley ended the night with four points, three assists and three steals.
Kyndal Townsley scored three points in the loss. Jami Wilkerson finished with two points, four assists nad three steals. Ali Cockerham, Farrah Nelson and Bradie Buffington scored two points each.
