Last chance meet won by Pekin girls

SULLY — The Pekin girls track team won the Last Chance Coed track meet Monday with 174 points to the host Lynnville-Sully’s 143. The Pekin boys team finished sixth.
Kerrigan Pope helped the girls with two wins, taking the discus title at 115 feet, 5 inches and the shot put at 34-11. Individual girl wins were Lexi Swearingen won the race of 1500 meters in 5 minutes, 10.88 seconds and Brady Millikin won the 800 in 2:07.50.
The Panther girls won a number of relays: 4x200 meters in 1 minute, 51.41 seconds with Mackenzie Dahlstrom, Sabrina Reneker, Sarah Eubanks, and Sophie Wittrock; distance medley in 4:33.07 with Dahlstrom, Wittrock, Eubanks, and Lauren Derscheid; shuttle hurdle in 1:18.74 with Claire Roth, Zoey Johnson, Erica Hoy and Gracie Baetsle; 4x4 in 4:26.01 with Reneker, Audrey Fariss, Derscheid, and Eubanks; 4x8 in 10:12.60 with Lily Fariss, Audrey Fariss, Eubanks, and Derscheid; sprint medley in 1:57.38 with Dahlstrom, Roth, Wittrock, and Reneker.
The boys relay wins for Pekin were the 4x400 in 3:40.58 with Jaedon Wolver, Brayden Sobaski, Zack Wise, and Declan Hampton and the 4x8 in 8:36.67 with Wolver, Sobaski, Wise, and Millikin.
