Leutele selects Iowa Central

Washington?s Tama Leutele made a committment to Iowa Central Community College in Fort Dodge on Wednesday afternoon.

Leutele appeared in eight games for the Demons this season, and recorded 28 tackles, seven tackles for a loss and two sacks as Washington made a run to the state quarterfinals.

Now that the decision has been made, Leutele said he?s a bit relieved to have it all settled.

?It?s a big relief,? Leutele said. ?I couldn?t decide where I wanted to go, where it would fit me perfectly, and for Fort Dodge to come in and talk to me, I got comfortable with their coach.  When I went through their visit, I felt like it fit me perfectly.?

Leutele is also hoping to hone his skills at Iowa Central, to potentially transfer to a bigger school when his junior college years finish up.
