Libertyville Little League open for registration

LIBERTYVILLE ? The Libertyville Little League has announced sign-up dates for the upcoming season.

League sign-up dates are from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at Libertyville Community Center and 5-7 p.m. Tuesday at Libertyville Elementary School. Online sign-up using the Jevin system continues until Feb. 29 at www.ballcharts.com/libertyvilleleague.

Children of all area towns are invited to join. Any child aged 4-6, with birthdates May 1, 2005-April 30, 2008, may sign up for T-ball. Boys aged 7-12, with birthdates May 1, 1999-April 30, 2005, may sign up for baseball. Girls aged 7-12, born Jan. 1, 1999-Dec. 31, 2004, may sign up for softball.

Cost is $35 for the first child and $10 for the second and third child in the same family, with a maximum of $55 charged per family. A late fee will be assessed for any registrations after Feb. 29. Any player new to the Libertyville Little League must bring a copy of their birth certificate.

The league?s season kicks off April 14 and runs until the end of June.

In addition, league players will be selling fun pasta. These unique-shaped pastas include college logos, music shapes, animals, baseball, dance, basketball, soccer, holiday shapes and much more.
