Lisbon gets past Columbus football

LISBON — Columbus was shut out for the first time this season in a 40-0 loss to the Lions in a Class A District 5 road game. The Wildcats were kept off the scoreboard just once last season and that also was by Lisbon.
The football game was 7-0 after the first quarter and 20-0 at halftime.
Kaden Amigon had 18 carries for Columbus and accumulated 98 yards. His defense accounted for 10 tackles. Triston Miller had 7.0 tackles, Cael Phillips 6.0 and Logan Bright 5.0.
Robert Coil recovered a fumble for the Wildcats.
Columbus was dealing with injuries and had athletes playing positions they were unfamiliar with.
Pekin comes to Columbus Junction Friday.
