OSKALOOSA — A 22-point night for Adalyn Long wasn't enough for the Washington girls basketball team on Tuesday night.
The Demons were done in by Oskaloosa, falling 52-44 in a game that was neck-and-neck for three quarters.
Washington fell behind 12-10 after the first eight minutes, but the game was tied 21-21 at halftime and 36-36 after three quarters.
Oskaloosa scored 16 points in the final eight minutes to run away from the Demons, partially because of a huge night from senior Dasia Foster, who went for 38 points and 22 rebounds.
Long sunk four 3-pointers on her way to a 22-point performance. Kendall Hinrichsen and Reagan Miller scored six points each. Addison Miller had five points and five rebounds. Lauren Hinrichsen finished with three points and five assists, and Vivienne Kroll scored two points.
Washington is now 4-11 overall. The Demons will put their 2-4 Southeast Conference record on the line at Fairfield (0-14, 0-6) on Friday night.
