Louella H. Tweedy

Louella H. Tweedy, 85, of Des Moines, formerly of Douds, died Monday, Nov. 28, 2011, at Genesis Senior Living Center in Des Moines.

A funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Pedrick Funeral Home in Douds, with the Rev. George Edgerly officiating. Burial will be in Mount Moriah Cemetery, north of Douds.

Family visitation will be 10-11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Memorials to the family may be left at the funeral home or may be mailed to the family at P.O. Box 97, Birmingham 52535.

Mrs. Tweedy was born July 1, 1926, near Eldon, the daughter of William ?Burt? and Martha Hughes Sickels. She married Ernest R. Tweedy March 8, 1946, in Douds. He died Sept. 23, 1988.

Survivors include one sister: Martha Bailey of Jefferson City, Mont.; and two brothers: John Sickels of Douds and Charles Sickels of Des Moines.
