Louisa-Muscatine rolls over Columbus 54-22

Louisa-Muscatine gained 437 yards on the ground in Friday?s 54-22 win over rival Columbus.

Junior Brandon Tomer rushed for 152 yards and a touchdown for the Falcons (2-3, 1-2 Class 2A District 5), and senior Blake Kemp added 94 yards and three scores. Junior Jeshua Van Sickle ran for 72 yards and a touchdown, and sophomore Ryland Crawford had 70 yards and a score.

Meanwhile, Louisa-Muscatine?s defense held Columbus senior Esteban Gutierrez, who had been averaging 165 yards per game on the ground, to just 46 yards on 19 carries.

Junior Ricky Rivers caught two passes for 120 yards and two touchdowns for the Wildcats (1-4, 1-2 District 5), and senior Derek Paetz also ran for a 1-yard touchdown.
