M-P girls fall short of moving to State with loss to CPU
WILLIAMSBURG - The Mid-Prairie girls basketball team fell short of playing in the State tournament for the second-straight year after losing to Center Point-Urbana 35-52 Saturday, Feb. 18.
CPU took an early lead and kept it the entire game after pulling ahead 9-4 after the first quarter.
They were up 24-13 at the half before scoring another 16 points in the third to Mid-Prairie?s 11.

Center Point put up 12 points in the fourth quarter to the Golden Hawks? 11 to get the win.
Ali Butters scored 11 points in the game. Addie Rath followed with 10. Ireland Hostetler scored seven.
Both AnnaVilovchik and Caitlyn Riggan had three points and Shae Becker scored one.
Hostetler led the team in rebounds with 11. Butters had six.
Rath had three, both Vilovchik and Becker had two and Riggan had one. Vilovchik had five steals in the game and Rath had two assists.
The Mid-Prairie girls end their season at 17-7.
