Maharishi girls tennis takes second at home round robin

FAIRFIELD — The Maharishi girls tennis team finished second place out of four teams in the Pioneers’ home round robin tournament on Saturday.
Maharishi ended the tournament with 58 games won. Davis County won the tournament with 74 games won. Centerville won 49 for third, and Albia won 35 for fourth.
Maharishi’s Lily Fenton took second-place in the No. 1 singles tournament, winning 17 games in the process. Ishita Mukadam finished second in her bracket, winning 19 games.
Sara Valls and Daira Valls won 11 games in the No. 1 doubles tournament. Bella Castle, Yeobseca Tafesse and Mika Rodriguez combined to win 11 games in the No. 2 doubles tournament.
