Maharishi girls undefeated streak continues
Pioneers give up one game against Albia Blue Demons

FAIRFIELD — Maharishi has long been known for it stellar play on the tennis court. This season is no different.
The Pioneer girls have rolled through their competition this season and are currently unbeaten.
On Tuesday night, Maharishi continued its perfect streak, 5-0, blitzing through Albia 8-1.
Maharishi has been near perfect with year, never giving up more than one match in each of its five contests.
In the singles matches, the Pioneers flourished, sweeping the six matches.
Lily Fenton had a battle in the No. 1 singles match, but was able to prevail following a tie breaker, 9-8 (9-7).
Ishita Mukadam had no problem in her match. Mukadam never dropped a round, winning 8-0.
Vaisnavii Mohanraj was victorious in her No. 3 contest 8-5.
The thrashing continued with Isabella Castle winning her No. 4 match 9-7.
Rounding out the singles matches for the Pioneers were Saraswati Quevedo-Valls and Daira Valls Blazquez. Both won their matches 8-2.
In doubles, Maharishi dropped just one match.
Fenton and Mukadam breezed through their match 8-3. Castle and Mohanraj were bested in their No. 2 match 8-3. Quevedo-Valls and Blazquez, like Fenton and Mukadam, were winners 8-3.
Maharishi will return to the court on Saturday. The Pioneers will participate in the Grayhound Invite in Burlington.
