When you're the state's leading scorer, you're going to get a lot of accolades. That's the reality for Van Buren County senior Isabel Manning, who was named Southeast Iowa Super Conference South Division player of the year, sharing the honor with the state's second-leading scorer, Mya Merschman.
Manning was one of four Union area names on the SEISC first team. New London senior Marah Hartrick, WACO sophomore Ellah Kissell and Cardinal senior Alexia McClure were named to the South Division's most elite squad.
There were three Union area names on the South Division second team, all seniors. WACO's Morgan Graber, New London's Ashlyn McSorley and Van Buren County's Ella Jirak all made that list.
Each team had two names on the honorable mention list. For Cardinal, it was senior Kolbie Bass and sophomore Kinsey Hissem. Sophomore duo Keaura Williams and Natalie Burden represented New London. Van Buren County had a pair of juniors, Kadence Nusbaum and Jaelyn Boley, and WACO added senior Aubris Garnsey and sophomore Grace Coble.
WACO's Lisa Graber was named the SEISC South Coach of the Year. She led the Warriors to a fifth place finish in just her first year as the Warriors' head coach.
