Marion head coach to miss Friday?s game
The Marion football team will be without its head man on Friday night when the Indians take on Washington at Case Field, according to the Metro Sports Report in Cedar Rapids.
Marion athletic director Corby Laube confirmed to the media outlet that Tony Perkins, who has coached at Marion for 16 years, will not be on the sidelines for the game against the Demons, nor will his brother, Nick Perkins.

The Marion football team will be without its head man on Friday night when the Indians take on Washington at Case Field, according to the Metro Sports Report in Cedar Rapids.
Marion athletic director Corby Laube confirmed to the media outlet that Tony Perkins, who has coached at Marion for 16 years, will not be on the sidelines for the game against the Demons, nor will his brother, Nick Perkins.
Laube also said that the six remaining assistant coaches will be running the team during Friday night?s game, but no official word was given as to why the Perkins brothers will not be coaching at the game.
The Metro Sports Report cited two unnamed sources who told the media outlet that Tony Perkins was suspended and Nick Perkins was fired due to allegations of verbal abuse in the program.
The Indians will be facing the Demons on Friday at 7:30 p.m.
