Mary West to play in East-West All-Star game

Every year, the Iowa High School Soccer Coaches Association (IAHSSCA) invites a who's who of Iowa soccer players to participate in the East Vs. West Senior All-Star Cup. This year, Mt. Pleasant's Mary West will be one of those 'whos.”

West was the only Southeast Conference player to be selected to the All-Star game. She led the team with 37 points this season, scoring 17 goals and dishing out three assists.

Despite her last name, West will be playing for Team East. She'll be joined by area players Grace Dupuis of Burlington Notre Dame, Vanessa Mena of Columbus/Winfield-Mt. Union and Mikenna Crews of Mediapolis among others.

The game will take place on Saturday, July 13 at Drake Stadium.
