Massner, Fowler receive SLIAC All-Conference awards

The St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference announced the 2018-19 All-Conference awards this evening. Darby Massner and Harriet Fowler were the two individuals who represented the Iowa Wesleyan women's basketball team on the list.
Charlie Just, Coach of the Year, and Alex Martin, Player of the Year both came from Spalding University. MacMurray's Chassidy Hays was tabbed as Newcomer of the Year, while the Team Sportsmanship Award was presented to Blackburn College.
Darby Massner received First Team All-Conference honors after an impressive season for the Tigers. Massner ranked third in the conference in scoring and rebounding after averaging 17.3 points and 10.9 rebounds per game. She started all 23 games and averaged 37.8 minutes per game. On the season, Massner totaled 399 points and 250 rebounds.
Harriet Fowler ended her debut season at Iowa Wesleyan with SLIAC All-Sportsmanship honors. On the year, Fowler started and played in 21 games at point guard for the Tigers. She averaged 31.8 minutes and 7.9 points per game. She ended the season with a team high 78 assists, an average of 3.7 assists per game.
The Tigers finished the season with an overall record of 5-18 and went 3-13 in conference play.
