Max Wayne Roth, 82, died from a progressive heart condition Tuesday, Dec. 6, 2011, in Orange County, Calif.
A memorial service will be at 4 p.m. Sunday at Sugar Creek Mennonite Church. A reception will follow.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Sugar Creek Mennonite Church, Waco High School football program or Special Olympics of Iowa.

Max Wayne Roth, 82, died from a progressive heart condition Tuesday, Dec. 6, 2011, in Orange County, Calif.
A memorial service will be at 4 p.m. Sunday at Sugar Creek Mennonite Church. A reception will follow.

Mr. Roth was born Jan. 24, 1929, at home near Olds, the son of Clarence ?Bud? and Mabel Meyer Roth. He married Berniece Graber May 16, 1948, in Wayland.
Survivors include his wife; five sons, Duane and wife Renee, Theodore and wife Jeanne, Gordon and wife Tami, Byron and wife Susan and Courtney and wife Kendee; 13 grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; one sister, Evelyn of Wayland; and one brother, Wilbur of Denver, Colo.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Russell.
