Meet the Trojans on Friday night
Fairfield’s annual event kicks off fall sports

Fairfield’s annual ‘Meet the Trojans’ night will take place on Friday night, as Fairfield fall sports officially kicks off the 2023 season.
The Trojans will kick things off at 5 p.m. with the all fall sports parent meeting in the gym. That will follow with sport specific meetings to follow.
Grilled dinner from Hy-Vee is available for purchase at Trojans Stadium from 5:30 p.m. — 8 p.m.
At 6:30 p.m., the Trojan athletics boosters will hold a check presentation at the track, or in the gym if it rains. That will be followed by the introductions of the high school fall sports teams.
The cheerleaders will lead things off with a cheer and a school song. Following the cheer team will be the cross-country, volleyball and football teams.
The volleyball team will go at it in an intrasquad scrimmage at 7 p.m., inside e the gym. At around that time, a football scrimmage between Fairfield and Ottumwa will take place.
The night will end with icy Popsicle feed, donated by Hy-Vee, at about 8:30 p.m.
