Mepo runs by Cardinal in fourth

CARDINAL - The Cardinal basketball team held a lead through three quarters on Friday night, but the Comets couldn't hang on and handed Mediapolis a win for the North Division in the Southeast Iowa Super Conference shootout. The Bulldogs picked up one of just three wins for the North, 55-48.
Cardinal led 10-9 after one quarter and 25-18 at halftime. Mediapolis climbed back to within four, at 39-35 after three periods, and then took the fourth quarter 20-9 to stun the Comets on their own home floor.
