Mid-Prairie, Bears advance

WILLIAMSBURG - Mid-Prairie advanced both its boys and girls cross-country teams to the Class 2A state meet Thursday as did Danville-New London.
D-NL had 36 points and Mid-Prairie 59 to place first and second in the boys meet.
Mid-Prairie's girls totaled an amazingly low score, just six points from perfect at 21 and D-NL was third at 104.
M-P's Danielle Hostetler won the girls and D-NL's Addison Parrot was second. Sydney Yoder was third, Jaden Yoder fourth, Mitzi Evans sixth and Abby Fleming seventh for M-P.
D-NL's Ty Carr finished seven seconds ahead of Jamison Stutzman of M-P. Julian Alexander was third and Oliver Sowell seventh for D-NL. Nathan Wallington, Lucas Bontrager and Chandler Hershberger went 8-9-10 for M-P.
