STANWOOD - Both New London and Highland took part in a tournament at North Cedar. The Tigers won four weight classes to finish third as a team, and Highland finished in eighth.

Highland had two wrestlers take second with Easton Schlabaugh at 106 and Bryce Thompson at 120.
Highland was back on the mat for just the second time this season after only six practices due to virtual learning. It wrestled two duals Thursday and then the Saturday tourney.
'I thought we wrestled well Thursday,” Highland head coach Derick Ball said. 'We attacked and you could see individuals using technique that we worked on in practice.”
Some wrestlers were struggling with getting to the weight they want to compete at and with conditioning.
'Saturday we looked like a team that didn't have much practice,” Ball said. 'It was a frustrating day. We preach being ready in February. We have a lot of work to do.”
