Mid-Prairie girls at Drake Relays
The Mid-Prairie girls? track team combined to send two events to the Drake Relays in Des Moines last weekend.
The 4 x 100-meter relay team of Shelby Zahradnek, Alex Rath, Emily Cayton and Lexi Duwa posted a time of 52.81 at the Relays to come in 71st in the state.
In the 3000-meter run, Mid-Prairie freshman Anna Hostetler posted a personal-best time of 10:51.82, taking 20th place at the meet.

?The competition at the Drake Relays is something I wish all of our athletes could experience,? Mid-Prairie girls? track head coach Chris Tyler said. ?I think it can be a great motivator to our athletes to come back, work hard in practice, get time in the weight room, and go compete against the best of the best in the state of Iowa again next season.?
