Mid-Prairie girls take 2nd, boys 4th

CAMANCHE - The Mid-Prairie High School track teams competed in the River Valley Conference meet Thursday. The boys took fourth place while the girls were second.
Marie Hostetler of Mid-Prairie was an individual conference champion in two events. She won the 800 meters in 2 minutes, 21.68 seconds. Her winning time in the 1500 was 4:48.26.
The Golden Hawks also claimed three conference titles in girls relays. The sprint medley team of Maddie Edgington, Abbagail Evans, Mitzi Evans and Amber Swart had a winning time of 1:52.5. The distance medley's winning time was 4:17.3 with A.Evans, Cassidy Rourke, Swart and Hostetler. The 4x1 of Swart, M.Evans, Edgington and A.Evans ran to the win in 52.46.
The best finish for the boys was Elmir Ganibegovic, who took second in the 200 (23.59) and the 400 (52.39).
