Mid-Prairie JV football team blanks Mepo
The Mid-Prairie junior varsity football team blanked Mediapolis 13-0 on Friday night at Doc Sattler Field.
Freshman quarterback Ryan Cortum scored a 1-yard touchdown run in the first quarter to give the Golden Hawks a 6-0 lead, which stood until freshman Nolan Faselt added a 4-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter.

The Mid-Prairie junior varsity football team blanked Mediapolis 13-0 on Friday night at Doc Sattler Field.
Freshman quarterback Ryan Cortum scored a 1-yard touchdown run in the first quarter to give the Golden Hawks a 6-0 lead, which stood until freshman Nolan Faselt added a 4-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter.
Faselt finished with 157 yards rushing on 24 carries. His 14 tackles also led the Golden Hawk defense. Freshman Cameron Tolander made 11 tackles and forced two fumbles, while sophomore Cody Knepp recorded six tackles, forced a fumble and recovered a fumble.
The Mid-Prairie JV football team will play at West Burlington-Notre Dame at 5 p.m. this Friday.
