Tuesday saw wrestling from Mid-Prairie and Pekin in triangular road meets.
Mid-Prairie gets 1 of 3 at Wapello
WAPELLO - The Golden Hawks went 1-2 in three duals Tuesday, taking a 51-24 win from English Valleys/Tri-County and losing 42-34 to Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont and 50-28 to the host Wapello Indians.
Against EBF, Mid-Prairie got wins from Vinnie Bowlin (pin in 1 minute, 55 seconds at 160), Jardin Mufaume (pin in 2:33 at 170), and Ben Meader (16-2 major decision at 182).
The win saw Owen Trimpe get a pin in only 28 seconds at 152, Josh Wallington win by fall at 220 in: 52, Mose Yoder at 113 with the pin right before the match was over at 5:51,
Dalton Miller scored a 9-5 decision at 126.
Against Wapello, Mufaume won by fall in 43 seconds, Meader scored a 14-0 major decision, Wallington won by fall in 1:24 and Brodey Neal won by fall in 3:51 at 285.
Panthers go 1-2
BLOOMFIELD - Pekin wrestled at Davis County Tuesday and lost twice, falling to Ottumwa 60-24 and Pella 60-21, but the Panthers edged Lynnville-Sully 42-36.
In the win, Logan Baker got Pekin started with a pin in 32 seconds at 126 pounds followed by Michael Jones at 138 winning by fall in 1:38. At 145, Bailey Frescoln recorded his win by fall in 4:52, then at 160
Nolan Greiner put the pin on in 2:57. At 170, Blake Juhl's pin happened in 2:32.
Against Ottumwa, Pekin got four wins, all by fall, with Jones in 1:14, Frescoln in: 50, Greiner in 2:44 and Mason Juhl at 182 in 1:46.
There were four wins in the Pella match with a Jones pin in 3:20, Fresoln's decision at 2-1, Mason Juhl's win by fall in: 37 and Ryan Doud's pin in 2:31.
