No. 8 Mid-Prairie held just a 28-19 lead heading into the fourth quarter of Thursday?s Cedar Valley Conference girls? basketball game at North Cedar, but the Golden Hawks outscored the Knights 22-0 in the final frame to pull away for a 50-19 victory.
Senior Jessie Butters scored 10 points to lead a balanced Golden Hawk scoring effort, and she also pulled down a team-high eight rebounds. Senior Kattie Redlinger added nine points for Mid-Prairie (5-2, 4-2 CVC), and senior Mallory McArtor had eight points to go with 10 steals. Senior Mariah Swartzentruber chipped in seven points and six rebounds.
