Mid-Prairie rolling to RVC volleyball wins

TIPTON — Mid-Prairie won its fourth straight River Valley Conference match Thursday 3-1 over Tipton. The Golden Hawks did not like dropping the second set as they limited the Tigers to 11 points in winning the final two games (25-18, 24-26, 25-11, 25-11).
Maya Nonnenmann and Ella Groenewold put down a combined 21 kills as Landry Pacha put up 31 assists. Groenewold had three solo blocks and seven assisted. Dakota Mitchell dug up 11 shots and laid down five aces. Cana Rediger served nine aces.
Mid-Prairie is 4-3 in the RVC and has a 12-7 record after going 3-2 in New London tournament Saturday. According to Varsity Bound records, the last time the Golden Hawks won four conference matches was in 2009. They did not win any in 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019 but won three last season.

TIFFIN — Washington scored 17 points in a nonconference match against Class 4A’s 11th-ranked Clear Creek-Amana, falling 25-3, 25-5, 25-9.
