Mid-Prairie soccer teams each get victories
No. 7 Mid-Prairie boys, girls both win road matches

CASCADE — The Mid-Prairie boys soccer team remained unbeaten Friday after a 3-0 win on the road. The victory against the Cascade Cougars dropped Cascade’s record to 5-2.
Jackson Pennington took six shots in the match and connected on two goals for the Golden Hawks.
Owen Trimpe unloaded nine shots and scored a goal. Hawks teammate Ethan Trimpe had an assist.
Keaton Graber directed the Hawks defense from the goal and made two saves.
Mid-Prairie (7-0) hosts third-ranked Iowa City Regina Tuesday.
Girls 6-3 with Mediapolis win
MEDIAPOLIS — A 1-1 halftime score ended as a 3-1 Mid-Prairie victory on Thursday in a girls soccer match.
The Golden Hawks got two goals from Esther Hughes to help defeat Mediapolis.
Julia Boller added a goal and an assist for the Golden Hawks. Paytin Swartzentruber and Sophia Baker each added an assist.
Mid-Prairie girls host Columbus today.
