Mid-Prairie picked up a conference dual victory on Thursday night, but suffered its first setback in conference action at home.
The Hawks picked up a big win over West Branch, 56-14, but fell to West Liberty 49-15, as they fell to 7-1 in conference duals.
Overall, Mid-Prairie sits at 9-1 on the season as a team.
In the dual win over West Branch, the Hawks picked up six wins via forfeit, with Draven Dempsey, Ethan Danner, Cameron Tolander, Visouth Peterschmidt, Garrett Sexton and David Murray each earning the free six points.
In the match victories, Jason Tew (170 pounds) picked up a win by fall at 1:46 over Andrew Black, while Levi Duwa (220 pounds) won a 3-2 decision over Drew Finnegan.
Duncan McCain (113 pounds) won by technical fall (20-4), while Miles Burrows (126 pounds) won by fall in 3:56.
In the losses, Mid-Prairie was on the wrong end of a pair of major decisions and had one forfeit.
Against West Liberty, Mid-Prairie only won three matches, with McCain winning by fall in 57 seconds, and Duwa picking up a win by fall at 4:41.
The other victory came from Tolander (182 pounds), who earned a 7-0 decision.
In the losses, Mid-Prairie suffered five pin falls and gave the Comets one forfeit.
Mid-Prairie will continue its season on Saturday in a tournament at Gladbrook-Reinbeck.
