Mid-Prairie still in, Fairfield falls from boys soccer rankings

The Iowa High School Soccer Coaches Association has released its sixth weekly rankings for the 2021 boys soccer season for all classes: 1A, 2A, and 3A for all games through Saturday.

Mid-Prairie is ranked 15th in Class 1A, but Fairfield is out of Class 2A. The Trojans still received votes as did Washington. The two teams open the postseason Thursday. Southeast Conference member Fort Madison is ninth in Class 2A.

While previously stated that there would be eight weeks of rankings, the IHSSCA stated this would be the last release for the 2021 season due to the extended playoff schedule and the reduced regular season length. The weekly rankings will conclude with this week.
