WELLMAN — On the volleyball court, Mid-Prairie is going to look very similar this time around.
This fall, the Golden Hawks return almost everyone from last years team, but do lose four graduating seniors.
Those who graduated include Maddie Nonnenmann, Alyssa McDowell, Ainsley Miller and Cana Rediger.
In the kills department, seniors Ella Groenewold and Maya Nonnenmann both make their comeback.
Groenewold led the Golden Hawks with 212 kills last year. She was the lone hitter to tally over 200 kills.
Nonnenmann followed Groenewold with 150 kills last year.
The duo will be big for Mid-Prairie once again.
Also returning will be junior Behla Schmidt and senior Landry Pacha. Both accumulated over 50 kills last season as well.
Pacha will be the Golden Hawks main setter once again. She led Mid-Prairie in 2021 with 614 total assists.
On the defensive side of things, sophomore Dakota Mitchell will be back in 2022. Mitchell had a team high 463 digs last time around.
Fellow sophomore Lanee Duwa followed with 187 digs last season.
Mitchell was also pretty good at serving the ball as well. Mitchell finished with a team best 60 aces along with a team high 312 serving successes.
