Mid-Prairie volleyball up to No. 8

The new Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union volleyball rankings are out, and once again the polls see Mid-Prairie climbing up in Class 3A.

The Golden Hawks, which sit at 14-3 on the year, are now ranked No. 8 in the class, jumping up one spot from being No. 9 last week.

Going into Thursday night’s game at Tipton, Mid-Prairie is riding an eight-game winning streak.

The No. 1 teams in all five classes all stayed the same. Ankeny Christian is No. 1 in Class 1A. Dike-New Hartford stayed at No. 1 in Class 2A. Western Christian stuck at No. 1 in Class 3A. Clear-Creek Amana continued to top the Class 4A rankings, and Dowling Catholic is still No. 1 in Class 5A.
